Developed in Unreal Engine 5 as a love letter to the defusal game mode in games like CS2 & Valorant.After a reckless mining blast uncovers rare minerals, Coalition Forces seize a remote village. Locals rise as the Resurgent, launching a daring siege to reclaim their land—just as the minerals are set for extraction. The mission: defuse the conflict, or detonate a revolution.

Came up with the theme and concept of the level.
Designed & Developed the 3D environment from creating a top-down diagram to an UE5 project.
Designed & Iterated on the level layout & flow for the map.
Created & Implemented in-game narrative and environmental storytelling.
Added gameplay components like power position and cover and balanced the map to fit into a defusal map.

Reflection & Outcome
This was my first Unreal Engine 5 project and looking back it is very rough around the edges. However, this is still a valuable learning experience for me as though this I gained basic understanding of various functions in Unreal Engine 5 such as various modeling tools and texturing.Through the design process, I’ve gained a strong understanding of the importance of top-down diagrams and iterative development in creating effective defusal maps. By carefully considering elements such as power positions, spawn points, and environmental storytelling, I’m able to craft levels that are both strategically balanced and visually engaging.
